COLLECTION STATEMENT
(required under Australian Privacy Principle (“APP”) 5)


The Australian Retail Credit Association Ltd (ACN 136 340 791) (Arca) will collect, store and use the personal information you have provided to us pursuant to the terms of this Collection Statement and Arca’s Privacy Policy.

Uses of your personal information

The primary purpose for which Arca is collecting your personal information is to provide you with information on the Principles of Reciprocity and Data Exchange (PRDE) and the process to become a signatory to the PRDE.
You agree that we may also use your personal information for related secondary purposes including:

  • Communicating with you, including by email, mail or telephone
  • Sending marketing and promotional material about Arca and our product and/or services, including PRDE related material, Arca Membership, our Arca Credit Summit, our Learning Solutions training and educational services (or the products and/or services of our Related Bodies Corporate) that we believe you may be interested in
  • For purposes otherwise required or authorised by law (including the Privacy Act)
  • For any other purpose as expressly listed in Arca’s Privacy Policy.

If you do not provide us with the personal information we ask for or the information provided is incorrect or incomplete, we may not be able to respond to you properly about your PRDE related enquiry.

Disclosures of your personal information to third parties

We may disclose your personal information (such as your name, email address and telephone number) to the following organisations for the purposes described above (as well as otherwise permitted or required under Australian law):

  • The Reciprocity and Data Exchange Administrator Pty Ltd (ACN 606 611 670) (RDEA);
  • Arca’s agents and other third party contractors who carry out functions on our behalf;
  • Any other organisation as expressly covered in Arca’s Privacy Policy.
